Janice Ernst, a true and valued friend, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother took God’s hand home on April 11, 2024 after a life of 96 years filled with caring, generosity, love and compassion for others. Janice was married to William O. Ernst for over 50 years, who predeceased her 13 years ago.  Her son, Bill also predeceased her last year on September 4, 2023. Janice was a very pragmatic person, fair and compassionate who always had an open mind to all sides of an issue.  She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Deborah and husband Roy, and Virginia and husband Larry,  her daughter in-law Donna and Mike, grandchildren Erik and wife Heather, Stacey, husband Sean and great grandchild Ethan, Bryan, and Karina and fiancé, Josh.  Janice’s final legacy is the example she set for all to remember her: “Be not burdened with times of sorrow. I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life’s been full, I’ve savored much, Good friends, good times, a loved one’s touch” (part of a poem written by Anne Lingren Davison that Janice carried in her wallet).
